Photographer Martin Herrera and I have been friends for nearly a decade. Many times over the years, he has suggested that I offer a travel workshop to Uruguay, that little known small country in South America, and Martin’s homeland. In 2010, we took a group to Uruguay, led and organized by Martin, and it was a fantastic workshop. What I knew about Martin before the trip is that he is an extremely likable person and a talented photographer. What I learned about him on this trip is that he is also very organized and serious about giving participants a workshop to remember. Every day was a highlight.
